Functional Cell Biology and Immunology- Advanced Core Facility (FCBI ACF) provides high-throughput and high-resolution imaging services, detection of cell surface markers and intracellular markers, as well as the possibility for sorting cells based on their expressed protein markers for cellular and immunology studies. Accordingly, the mainstay of the FCBI ACF includes top quality correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) representing a highly advanced technological platform for the molecular analysis of biological specimens and a high-performance flow cytometer and cell sorter capable of complex cell sorting based on cell surface molecular markers and high-sensitivity analysis. Thus, one unit of the core facility enables the users to perform 3D array tomography electron microscopy with a wide range of analytic applications and possibilities for in situ experiments, while the other unit offers the capabilities of a flow cytometer with advanced cell sorter capacities. The main goal of this ACF is to provide for high-throughput and high-resolution imaging, cell surface and intracellular marker detection as well as the possibility for sorting cells based on their expressed protein markers for cellular and immunology studies.
